Red rain.

赤い雨

これはイラク戦争で使われた言葉。だから、多分５～６年もすると、辞書から正式には消えてしまうかも知れない。そんなことは心配無用。アメリカ人に使うときは、更に５～６年間は忘れられないように使う方法をお教えしましょう。

　この、“red rain”なるものは、迫撃砲の砲弾がアメリカ軍の陣地めがけて発射されたときに、レーダー係りが、その発射時の真っ赤な色を認識して、

“Here comes red rain! Red rain! Red rain!”

　「赤い雨が来るぞ！赤い雨だぞ！赤い雨だぞ！」

と、大声で味方の兵士に警報を出した。２００３年度の迫撃砲の弾丸は破壊力がすごく、一発炸裂すれば、半径３０メートルもの範囲が粉々に破壊されると言うものらしい。２０１７年度では、その数十倍も破壊力が強くなっている。シリアのISに向かって・・と言うが一般の市民と区別がつかなくて、赤い雨が豪雨のように降り注いでいるとテレビは報告しているのは、クラスター爆弾(*)らしく、破壊範囲は広いと言われる。空からの「雨」のように降り注ぐ地獄の爆弾だ。昔日本でも行われた「田舎疎開」を、シリアの難民は、「ヨーロッパ疎開」をやっているのは、当然で、UNの活動があまりにも低く無責任に近いと見える。

注：(*)主に航空機や地対地ロケット弾、砲弾などに搭載される。通常の空対地爆弾とほぼ同サイズのケースの中に、小型爆弾や地雷で構成される数個-数百個の子弾を内蔵する。このケースが発射、投下の後に空中で破裂することで子弾を散布し、多数の小規模な爆発を引き起こすなどして広範囲の目標に損害を与える。

B: “What is the red rain?”

A: “Oh, you don’t know this word. You should know this word because it could harm you if you don’t know in our company.”

B: “Oh…why?”

A: “Because the red rain is a nick name of our company president and he is like a killer mortar who can explode you easily out of the company.”

B: “Thanks for this information. I shouldn’t and won’t never forget the word.”

A: “gooood for you!”

Nothing???!!! What will happen to my Timex? You make me worry! Aho, baka, stupid, idiot, jump in lake!!
