ガチャリ

　この擬音語は「刑務所」(prison)である。この名前は、ガチャリと閉じられる(be shot home) 時の独房の鍵の外蓋の音、そしてまた、囚人が床を引きずる時に出る脚かせ(leg irons)の「ガチャリ」と言うのから来ている。

注：Clink は、金属、ガラスなどが触れ合うときに出す音（擬音語）。日本人の耳には、ガチン、ガチリ、ガチャリ、チリン、カチンなどに聞こえる音を言う。

発音：clink[クリンク]

例文：The couple clinked glasses of wine on their wedding anniversary.

その夫婦は、結婚記念日にワインのグラスをカチリンと乾杯した。

long Time Since!―久しぶり！

Because I got a seasonal cold..oh, no, not the killer Covid-19! If so, I wouldn’t be here.

My doctor told me the seasonal cold at this time in Japan is nasty and it would and might tke a fairely long time to cure. He was right. He banned me from having even a small glass of cold beer. I dislike that, but you know my sense told me which is more important. Yes. so I refrained. Omedetoh! I am OK, now.
